Wanted change

Add a way to manage files

Reason for change

Love using this app but it proves difficult to manage the stored file. Would love if one of the managed apps was a file explorer.

Use a webtop https://github.com/linuxserver/docker-webtop

Single app images are single app, they are used for browser isolation and meant to be integrated with for vdi platform stuff. If you want a desktop experience that is what webtop is for and you can install chrome or anything else you want from proot-apps. I would start with ubuntu-kde or try some others to find the DE that fits your workflow.
