Describe the bug
When the agent in the Copilot desktop app creates a revert commit (via git revert), the commit is created without the configured commit trailers (Co-authored-by: Copilot App <223556219+Copilot@users.noreply.github.com> and Copilot-Session: <id>). Regular commits made by the agent in the same session include them.
Example
dotnet/roslyn@0234475
Commit message, in full:
Revert "Raise xUnit v3 CoreCLR test apphost stack reserve"
This reverts commit 61964a0ff57a0bde49d413147aa7e9e33bd02f02.
It has no Co-authored-by or Copilot-Session trailer.
Expected behavior
Revert commits the agent creates should get the same attribution trailers as other agent commits. git revert makes its own default message, so the agent probably needs to pass --edit/-m, or the trailers need to be added a different way (for example git revert --no-commit and then a commit that includes the trailers, or git commit --amend --trailer ...).
