A trainee got stuck at the "Creating a commit" step of Prep. They had created the folder and opened it in VSCode but the Source Control tab only showed Open Remote Repository, with no Initialize Repository button.
This splits "open the folder in VSCode" into its own step and adds a tip under the screenshot covering the common causes: no folder open, Git not installed or not found, and VSCode needing a restart after installing Git. If none of those fix it, trainees are told to post a screenshot in Slack.
