Conflict-resolution pull request for #9665.

What changed

• Created this branch from rel/latest at 1f8c874.
• Merged master at a0575ad.
• Resolved the modules/sdk-core/package.json overlap by retaining the released versions from rel/latest and adding cbor-x 1.5.9 required by the new master code.
• Left rel/latest untouched; this pull request targets it through the normal review and merge flow.

Validation

• Repository pre-commit formatting and lint checks passed.
• Commit-message validation passed.
• modules/sdk-core/package.json parses as valid JSON.
• git diff --check passed.
• Git merge-tree checks show both this pull request into rel/latest and the resulting promotion into master are conflict-free.

⚠️ Unit tests are failing on Node 26.x (Current release line, non-blocking). This is not an LTS version yet, so it does not block merge, but it signals an incompatibility to fix before Node 26.x becomes LTS.
