Updates the install and connect steps that no longer match the current client UIs. The Claude Code plugin commands from #1259 are unchanged.

Gateway setup vs. the Arcade plugin

This PR touches two separate setups:

• Arcade agent plugin. Only content/docs/get-started/agent-plugin/index.mdx. It adds "Install in ChatGPT on the web" (upload the arcade-chatgpt-{VERSION}.zip release) and a note that the Codex CLI install also works in the ChatGPT desktop app.
• Connecting an MCP gateway. Everything under content/docs/get-started/mcp-clients/: the new ChatGPT page and the UI updates for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, GitHub Copilot and Copilot Studio.

Watch out for the new ChatGPT gateway page. ChatGPT adds a custom MCP server from its Plugins menu, and the steps say Create as a plugin. That makes a ChatGPT plugin out of your gateway URL. It is not the Arcade agent plugin.

Checked against current vendor docs on Oct 22, 2026: OpenAI custom MCP and plugin help, Claude connectors and plugins, Cursor MCP, VS Code MCP, GitHub Copilot MCP for JetBrains, Visual Studio, Eclipse, and Xcode, and Microsoft Copilot Studio MCP tools. Arcade gateway URLs and Arcade Auth vs Arcade Headers are unchanged.

Per-client audit

Claude Code plugin	Current	Left the two-step install from #1259: claude plugin marketplace add ArcadeAI/arcade-plugin then claude plugin install arcade@arcade.
Claude Code (gateway)	Fixed	Command is now claude mcp add --transport http arcade <url>, matching Claude's flag order.
Claude Desktop and claude.ai	Fixed	Connectors moved from the avatar Settings menu to Customize → Connectors → + Add → Add custom connector. Removed the screenshots of the old settings page. Team and Enterprise owner steps were already current.
Cursor	Fixed	Replaced Command Palette Open MCP Settings and New MCP Server with Customize → MCPs → Add New MCP Server. Noted project and global mcp.json paths. Updated the OAuth note: Cursor renews an access token when the server issued a refresh token.
VS Code (gateway)	Fixed	Server type is HTTP (HTTP or Server-Sent Events). Personal installs use Global, then Copilot Global. Start the server with MCP: List Servers.
VS Code (agent plugin)	Current	Chat: Install Plugin From Source already matched VS Code's agent plugins docs.
GitHub Copilot CLI	Current	copilot plugin marketplace add and copilot plugin install arcade@arcade left as-is.
GitHub Copilot in JetBrains	Fixed	The add control is Add MCP Tools.
GitHub Copilot in Visual Studio	Fixed	Open View → GitHub Copilot Chat, use Agent mode, and set type to HTTP/SSE. Header config now uses requestInit.headers. Removed screenshots of the previous dialog.
GitHub Copilot in Eclipse and Xcode	Fixed	Replaced "Coming soon" with the current MCP config steps, using Arcade Headers. GitHub's published OAuth example is for GitHub's own MCP server.
Copilot Studio	Fixed	The path is Add a tool → New tool → Model Context Protocol, then Create and Next to make the connection.
Windsurf	No page	No install page exists. Official Windsurf MCP docs were not available to verify a new page, so none was added.
Gemini CLI	No page	No install page exists. Current Gemini CLI docs use gemini mcp add --transport http or httpUrl. No page was added in this pass.

Cutover risk

ArcadeAI/monorepo#5744 imported these docs at commit 17b24d36 ("Move the docs from Nextra to Fumadocs"). That commit is an ancestor of current main (80b6b474), which already includes #1259. This branch is based on that main.

Anything landed in ArcadeAI/docs after 17b24d36, including #1259 and this PR, is not in the monorepo snapshot. Carry those commits over at the GRO-610 cutover freeze, or the client fixes will be dropped when docs move.

Checks
