I want to add some optional text that displays the current real time in the player of the tv layout. This way you can quickly spot what time it is without having to exit the app. You can already do this on phones and tablets by swiping down from the from the top of the screen, but on android tv's this is not possible.
This would be a setting that the user can turn on to display the clock.
For now i would like to place the clock in the top right, like in the picture below:

I am currently a computer science student. My current assignment is to contribute to an open source project. I would love to make a small contribution to this project, so I plan implement this feature myself.
Please let me know if this feature request would be acceptable. If so, I will still need to get approval from my teacher, and I'll post an update once I know more.
