Wanted change

Ubiquiti takes several days to weeks to update their Debian repository, which results in new container builds being delayed as well since this project uses it for triggering updates . The API listed below is the same one that the consoles use and gets updated much quicker. Using it would allow for quicker container builds.

Ubiquiti has a long history of pushing bad updates and later pulling them. The delay before updating their apt repo is likely intentional. They release on their website/forum first, see if there are widespread reports of serious bugs and only if not they update their apt repo.

We'd rather not have our users be guinea pigs.

Fair point, any consideration for publishing them, but leaving the latest tag on whatever the "stable" repository is at? Maybe have an unstable/bleeding/etc. tag to track the actual latest releases. That would leave people who just use :latest on a stable release, but allow people who want to use the newest the ability to.

That's too much effort for getting a few days head start.

If you really can't wait a few days for the release, you can always build it locally and modify it to pull the deb from that api endpoint.

That is what I've done if I wanted to test a version out. Might be able to adjust the version to a smaller number like 9.1 to pull the most recent minor version
