Working with NATS.io is very flaky, and it's an awkward fit for the project.
There has been very little work on the NATS transport and given the upcoming framing changes (#1350) it has to be redone, and I do not have the resources at the moment to do that work.
No objections to adding reworked NATS.io support at a later point of time, but it will be removed for now to prevent stalling progress on this project.
