Feature Request - Automatically create filters filing to folder per domain

Hi

Would it be possible to have a function with a shortcut that

• Takes the domain of an email
• Checks if a folder of that name exists (in a specific subfolder)
• If yes, sort the email there
• If not, create the folder and move the message there

Bonus: Extend the tree with Alphabet (e.g. email from xyz@alphabet.com -> Folders/A/Alphabet)

It should use from the domain the main name:

@host.domain.tl

Just select the "domain" part.

That would be kind of cool I think.

[If this is a function that relates to filter actions] This is just another variation of a feature request I get regularly - more often on the FiltaQuilla Github :

it involves creating new folders on the file system- which is the problematic part because it required asynchronous behavior (file operations need to be done in an async manner) and there are big technical difficulties with that especially during filtering. If it involves an IMAP account which usually does local generation, then remove generation and the syncing both folders which can take minutes, and then one would have to spawn the message move, it becomes very very fragile, that's why I never really attempted to implement this. I think it would be better to wait for a rewrite of the filter engine so that it truly supports asynchronous operations, and supports the complicated synchronisation cycles that are necessary in a modern, cloud based environment such as IMAP servers.

as an interactive method this sound quite involved, because you want to do something (maybe semi-automatically, spawned by a mouse click) that auto-sorts and organizes your folder tree at the same tine - which may surely be very useful to you personally but a hell to implement and turn into something that useful for a sizeable number of users. It would even be hard (not impossible) to explain to users; so I am not sure that I would support implementing this myself, it's a lot of work and we need to scramble to make qickFilters more API compatible (use less experimental code).

I can see that the pattern bears some usefulness though, I don't simply have a single folder that has subfolder that may be reflected by domains, but multiple such things, with a parent folder such as "social media" or "audio plugins" or "studio". there you may find company specific subfolders (I avoid breaking up into alphabet though because it is simply faster to use QuickFolders "quickJump" or "quickMove" systems to jump straight to a folder rather than scrolling through an alphabet:

Entering st/wa in the QuickFolders quickJump panel, will be bring me much much faster to the folder Studio/waves than any alphabetical list.

Well, I have plenty of folders and subfolders, many of them divided in 0-9, A-Z subfolders as there are soooo many categories.
You are right, using QuickMove is fast, but I always look for something faster ;-)
